Xero API - Deprecating Support for TLS 1.0
We have some important news regarding the Xero API Accounting Interface.
Xero are Deprecating Support for TLS 1.0 (Transport Layer Security 1.0) from the 30th June 2018.
Why is support for TLS 1.0 being deprecated?
TLS is used to is used to secure communication between Xero's API and Idealpos.
The reason for deprecating TLS 1.0 is to strengthen the security of sensitive financial data.
TLS 1.0 is being replaced with TLS 1.2.
what do I need to do?
We added support for Xero API TLS 1.2 to Idealpos 7 - build 52. Any build of Idealpos 7 older than 52 only supports Xero API TLS 1.0. If you use the Xero API Accounting Interface in Idealpos and haven't yet updated your Idealpos 7 software to build 52 or higher, we highly recommend that you do so at your earliest convenience (before 30th June 2018). Failing to update to Idealpos 7 - Build 52 or higher will result in the Xero API Accounting Interface no longer working after the 30th June 2018.
If you need help with upgrading your software to the latest build, please contact Idealpos or your reseller for assistance.
