This Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Information collected by Idealpos in the course of providing Goods and Services to Customers regardless of the source of this information. This Privacy Policy is available on our Website.

Terms that are capitalised in this Privacy Policy are defined below, unless the context indicates otherwise:
Reseller means a party which Idealpos has accepted as an approved dealer under the terms of a dealer agreement.
Personal Information means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable:
(a) whether the information or opinion is true or not; and
(b) whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.
Privacy Policy means this privacy policy and amendments made to it from time to time.
Software Support means any Software Support that is provided by Idealpos.
Trial means a free trial of the software that may be offered by Idealpos.
You and Your means any person Idealpos collects Personal Information from and includes employees, officers and agents of its Customers.

2. Collection of Personal Information
2.1 Collection of Personal Information
Idealpos collects Personal Information in the course of providing Goods and Services to Customers. If You do not provide Idealpos with certain types of Personal Information Idealpos may be unable to provide the Goods or Services requested. Idealpos may collect Personal Information via online forms, emails, interactions and in the development, maintenance or administration of the Software including remote access support. Personal Information may be collected when You:
(a) contact Idealpos either in writing (including email and via the “Contact us” form) or by telephone;
(b) provide feedback or make a request; or
(c) purchase a Membership Package for Software Support or otherwise engage Idealpos, including if You agree to a trial use of the Software.
2.2 Types of Personal Information collected
Idealpos may collect Personal Information including first and last names, email addresses, credit information, employment information and any other Personal Information supplied to Idealpos. In addition, in installing and configuring the Software, employees and agents of Idealpos may have access to personal information on Your customers in order to install, configure and support the Software.
2.3 Purpose of collection and use
Idealpos collects, holds, uses and discloses the Personal Information to provide You with goods and Software Support. Idealpos may also use Personal Information for the following purposes related to the services it provides:
(a) ensuring the accuracy of data in compliance with the Act;
(b) providing its Goods and Services;
(c) communication with Resellers;
(d) maintaining records in relation to its Software;
(e) dissemination of publications, releases and other relevant information;
(f) administration and marketing;
(g) statistical analysis and reports;
(h) the exchange of information with key stakeholders; and
(i) related purposes.
Email addresses will not be added to mailing lists or used for any other purpose without express or implied consent.

You will need to identify Yourself to the reasonable satisfaction of Idealpos before Idealpos will provide You with access to Personal Information about You which Idealpos may or may not have in its possession.

3.3 Transfer of Personal Information outside Australia
Personal Information that is collected may be disclosed to Resellers outside Australia in any Country where Idealpos has appointed a Reseller. Idealpos takes reasonable steps to ensure that these parties comply with the Act.
3.4 Anonymity and use of pseudonyms
Where reasonably practicable, Idealpos will provide You with the opportunity to interact anonymously or using a pseudonym. In some circumstances it may be impracticable for Idealpos to provide You with a facility to interact anonymously or using a pseudonym. Idealpos may be required to obtain Personal Information in order to respond to a request or provide a service.
3.5 Notification of collection
Where reasonable, Idealpos will notify You when it collects Your Personal Information, the use of which is subject to this Privacy Policy.
4. Use of Personal Information
4.1 Direct marketing
Idealpos may use Personal Information for the purpose of providing You with related marketing or promotional material regarding the Goods and Services it provides. Personal Information will not be used for direct marketing without implied or express consent.

You can unsubscribe to Idealpos’ emails by clicking on the functional unsubscribe facility contained in an email or You can contact the Privacy Officer on the details set out in Item 3.1.

5.1 Security measures taken for Personal Information
Idealpos and its Resellers takes reasonable steps to protect Personal Information it holds from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Idealpos takes reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify Personal Information if it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected.
5.2 Quality
Idealpos takes reasonable steps to ensure that the Personal Information Idealpos collects, uses or discloses is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
5.3 Security
Idealpos takes reasonable steps to safeguard the disclosure of Personal Information from third parties, contractors and staff. Idealpos has up to date procedures and policies relating to information technology as it relates to staff and strive for best practice in this area.
